Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying
Conveying Solutions for non-fragile materials
The dilute phase pneumatic conveying system allows the transportation of powders and bulk materials at a high throughput rate and over significant distances (not fragile materials). The dilute phase pneumatic conveying utilizes rotary airlocks (rotary valves) that allow for the injection of calibrated dosages of material into the pipeline. A booster delivers air under pressure (with control) at a high rate (24 to 30 m./s) via a valve in the conveying pipe.
This compressed air is combined with the bulk material and transported to the line’s termination. In the majority of situations, air-product separation is accomplished by the use of a filter system, a receiving hopper, and a distribution rotary valve (in most cases).
The rotary piston blower is particularly suitable for compression and air suction used in dilute phase pressure conveying system.
Advantages of Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying System :
The ability to supply several reception points as from a supply point
Low maintenance
Simple control system
Little space required
The material dilution rate in the air is very important, and therefore requires a high throughput rate of air to convey the material.
