Tiermax Industrial Equipment

Vibrating Sieve Loading and Unloading System

TIERMAX provides integrated vibrating sieve loading and unloading systems for the safe handling, screening, and recovery of fine metal powders used in additive manufacturing and 3D printing applications.

By combining pneumatic conveying with high-efficiency vibrating screening, metal powder can be transferred from the 3D printer or collection container directly to the sieve, screened to remove oversized particles and agglomerates, and then recovered for reuse. The enclosed process helps minimize manual handling, powder loss, dust exposure, and potential contamination.

Automated Metal Powder Handling

Fine metal powders used in additive manufacturing require careful handling to maintain product quality and provide a clean and controlled production environment.

Traditional manual loading and unloading can generate airborne dust, increase operator exposure, and create opportunities for product loss or contamination.

TIERMAX systems integrate powder conveying, screening, collection, and discharge into a compact process solution. Metal powder can be pneumatically transferred directly to the vibrating sieve, where reusable powder is separated from oversized particles before being collected or returned to the production process.

How the System Works

Metal powder is collected from the 3D printing process and transferred through an enclosed pneumatic conveying line to the vibrating sieve.

The vibrating sieve separates acceptable fine powder from oversized particles, agglomerates, and other unwanted material. The screened powder is then discharged into a collection hopper or transferred to the next stage of the process for reuse.

This integrated approach reduces the need for operators to manually lift, pour, and transfer fine metal powders between different pieces of equipment.

Complete Powder Recovery Solution

TIERMAX can integrate the vibrating sieve with vacuum conveying, powder collection hoppers, discharge systems, controls, and downstream equipment to provide a complete metal powder handling solution.

From recovering excess powder from the additive manufacturing process to screening and transferring reusable material back into production, the system can be engineered around the complete material flow rather than individual pieces of equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

The system pneumatically transfers powder to the vibrating sieve, separates oversized particles and agglomerates, and collects the screened powder for reuse or further processing.

Yes. Pneumatic conveying can transfer powder directly from the source to the sieve, reducing manual lifting, pouring, and handling.

Yes. Acceptable powder can be collected after screening and returned to the production process when permitted by the application and powder-quality requirements.

The enclosed conveying and screening process helps minimize powder dispersion, product spillage, and operator exposure to fine airborne particles.

Yes. Ultrasonic screening can be integrated to improve the separation of very fine powders and help reduce mesh blockage.

Yes. The sieve, mesh size, conveying system, hopper, contact materials, controls, and other components can be selected according to the powder properties, capacity, and process requirements.
